Privacy Policy

Proofwait turns the idle seconds your AI assistant spends thinking into a sponsored status-bar line, attested on the Sui blockchain. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not, and why.

What we never collect

Proofwait does not read, store, or transmit the contents of your prompts, your code, your files, or your AI assistant's output. The editor extension only observes when your assistant starts and stops working — never what it is working on. There is no access to your repository, your keystrokes, or your conversation.

What we collect

  • ·Your wallet address. A public Sui address you authorize by signing a message. It identifies where impression earnings accrue. Signing grants no spending power and no access to your funds.
  • ·On-chain records. Each attested impression and each payout is written to the Sui blockchain, which is a public ledger by design. Amounts, campaign identifiers, and transaction hashes are publicly visible there.
  • ·Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand usage (page views, sign-ups, onboarding steps, campaign creation, aggregate impression counts). The extension may send an anonymized, non-identifying device id to count installations — and only if your editor's telemetry setting is enabled. No prompt or code content is ever included.
  • ·Operational data. Standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

Cookies & local storage

We store a session token on your device (in your browser's local storage, or in your editor's secure secret storage) so you stay signed in. PostHog may set analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with infrastructure providers that process it on our behalf:

  • ·Sui — the public blockchain that settles impressions and payouts.
  • ·PostHog — product analytics (EU region).
  • ·Supabase — database for accounts and the off-chain ledger mirror.
  • ·Vercel & Railway — website and backend hosting.
  • ·Upstash — rate limiting.

Data retention

Account and ledger data is kept while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. On-chain records are permanent and outside our control — that is the nature of a public blockchain. You can ask us to delete your off-chain account data at any time.

Your choices

  • ·Disable your editor’s telemetry setting to stop the extension’s anonymous install ping.
  • ·Disconnect your wallet to stop new attributions.
  • ·Contact us to access or delete your off-chain account data.

Children

Proofwait is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
